MC CLINTOCK) was born August 12,
1789 in Donegal, Ireland, and died September 2, 1890 in
Auckland, NZ. He married MARGARET GREER in Donegal,
Ireland.
GEORGE
SCOTT went to New Zealand with his family on the 'Jane
Gifford' sailing from Greenock, Scotland. They arrived in
Auckland on 10 Oct 1842 and on the out- break of Heke's
war the family were in active service in the Bay of
Islands He resided for the last 20 years in Auckland and
his memory was unimpaired at the age of 100 years.

1821 in Donegal, Ireland, and died June 23, 1906 in
Thames, NZ. He married ELIZA KERR June 7, 1842 in St
Mary's Episcopal Chapel, Glasgow, daughter of JOHN KERR
and MARY BOICE.
Notes
for ROBERT SCOTT: On the discovery of gold at Thames he
moved to the district where he resided with his family
until his death. He held a commission (lieutenant) in the
now disbanded Thames Rifle Rangers. He was a prominent
Freemason, an office bearer in the Protestant Alliance
Lodge and past Grand Master in the Loyal Orange Order. He
was appointed a JP about 1894. He had been the first
Superintendant of the Shortland Fire Brigade formed in
1872.

MC CLINTOCK) was born July 15, 1851
in Auckland, NZ, and died September 26, 1917. He married
MARY ANN (POLLY) SALTER March 29, 1875 in St Albans,
Christchurch, NZ, daughter of EDWARD SALTER and MARY
HARWOOD.
WILLIAM
BRAMWELL SCOTT started school in Auckland before moving
to Thames in 1867 with his family. He returned to
Auckland to work with the Herald. He then shifted to
Christchurch where he worked for the Lyttleton Times, and
later set up his own printing business. In 1897 they
moved to a farm at Buckland near Pukekohe. He later took
over the East Coast Guardian which his sons continued
after his death in 1917.
